Road America - 2026 OktoberFAST HPDE

Road America

About this event

Join Badger Bimmers for a High Performance Driver's Education Weekend at Road America October 9th to 11th!

All students and instructors will enjoy four 25 minute on-track sessions on Saturday and Sunday.  Novice and newer intermediate students will be provided with a personal in-car instructor and additional classroom instruction to learn the basics of high performance car control and how best to get around Road America's 4.048 mile track.  Advanced drivers and instructors will have the benefit of a more open-lapping style approach during their sessions.

Advanced drivers and instructors can sign up for an additional day of track time on Friday, which will feature fifteen 25-minute open lapping sessions.

(All session times are subject to change depending on track surface condition.  Inclement weather, fluid spills, and emergency response situations may require sessions to end early.)

Please read the requirements for the event before registering.  If you have any questions about our HPDE please email our Driving Event Coordinator at DEC@BadgerBimmers.org.

All participants at our HPDE events must be members of the BMW CCA.  It is not necessary that you own a BMW or be a member of the Badger Bimmer chapter but valid BMW CCA membership is required!  You can join the BMW CCA by visiting the national BMW CCA website.  Membership fees are set to increase this spring, so join now and save some money!

This event will be using BMW CCA rules for open top cars.  Such cars must have a minimum of a 4-point roll bar that meets the material and installation requirements set forth by the BMW CCA. This requirement can be certified either by presenting a log book from a recognized sanctioning body (SCCA, NASA, etc.) or an inspection document signed by a race car fabrication shop.  Cars with soft or no top are also required to have arm restraints for driver AND instructor. "Targa" style cars with removable roof panels (e.g., many Corvettes, Porsches, etc.) are required to have their removable roof panels installed.  Cars with factory folding convertible hardtops are allowed so long as the top stays up and secured.  Please contact our Driving Events Coordinator at DEC@badgerbimmers.org BEFORE registering to verify that your open top car will meet our technical requirements.

If you are new to driving events, please download this document and read through it for helpful hints and tips for preparing yourself before you get to be track.    HPDE 1st Timer

Saturday, October 10th we will be hosting a cash bar social gathering at The Elk Room Lounge inside The Osthoff Resort at 6:30pm.  No tickets or prior registration is required for this event, so come hang out with your fellow drivers with food and drink available to purchase at the bar.  (Please try to let us know if you and any guests are interested in attending using the drop down selection during registration so that we can notify the venue.)
