Motorcycles Only Track Day at MSR to Benefit Alain Guembes
On March 15th at Jennings GP in Florida, Alain Guembes crashed in turn 14 and suffered life-threatening injuries. Alain is now home in Texas, beginning his long road of recovery from a list of ailments, including traumatic brain injury. Alain is a husband, father of 4, and a pillar of the Houston riding and coaching community.
MSR Houston and Bittinger Motorsports are holding a motorcycle-only track day to benefit Alain and his family.
Only 40 non-member spaces are being made available.
The event price is $250 per non-member rider for the day.
MSR Houston motorcycle members are welcome. Registration is not required. Donations are suggested but not required.
We will conduct 20-minute sessions
On-track coaching will be provided with a 3:1 student-to-instructor ratio.
John Hutchinson of P1 Racing will be onsite, providing suspension tuning as part of the entry price.
Arlene's Soul Food will be in attendance with their excellent menu of brisket, BBQ, and comfort food.
MSR is donating $100.00 of the entry fee directly to Alain's family, with $75 remaining to cover event expenses.
Must be at least 16 years of age to ride on track for this event.
All attendees will receive an email with detailed information for the event.
Event requirements
**Requirements for Getting on Track**
To ensure everyone's safety, please follow the guidelines below:
**Rider Gear:**
- Full-face helmet
- Leather riding suit (preferred); 2-piece leather suits are acceptable as long as they zip together
- Full road racing leather boots (ankle boots are not permitted)
- Gauntlet gloves
- Airbag vest (optional, but preferred)
**Motorcycle Requirements: (some items are optional):**
- Good DOT tires or race slicks (please do not use worn-out, outdated, or overheated tires)
- Functional brakes
- No leaks of any kind
- Water wetter coolant (optional)
If your motorcycle has street fairings, lights, and mirrors, please either remove the mirrors or turn them in. Use painter's tape to cover any remaining mirrors and lights.
