About this event
Our friends in the Chesapeake Region of the Rolls-Royce Owners' Club cordially invite GWS-MBCA members to join them on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Boxwood Estate Winery in Middleburg, Virginia, as detailed below:
Boxwood Estate Winery

Middleburg, VA 20117
Saturday, October 4, 2025
12:00 p.m.
As a change from museums and car shows, let’s enjoy the scenic outdoors of fall at Boxwood Estate Winery in Middleburg, VA, on Saturday, October 4.
Settled in the 18th century, Boxwood became a well-known horse farm during the Colonial and Civil War periods and was later home to U.S. Army General Billy Mitchell, who would lay the groundwork for establishing the U.S. Air Force after WWII. Since 2005, Boxwood Estate Winery has been owned by John Kent Cooke, son of the late Jack Kent Cooke, who owned the former Washington Redskins NFL team (... and, IIRC, a red 1976 Mercedes-Benz 450SLC, according to The Washingtonian Magazine! --Omar). John Cooke has been a long-time admirer and collector of French wines, and the Boxwood Estate is on the National Register of Historic Places.
We will have a “Group Table Reservation” (described under the Reservation tab on their website: https://boxwoodwinery.com/reservations/), and will need a minimum of 20 people, so if you haven’t attended a Chesapeake Region event this year and enjoy fine red wine (or their other varieties), this is the event for you! No need to pre-order – just let me know you’re coming. Members can pay on-site and order food as well. The pricing plan is for us to pay $35 per person to stay for 2 hours (normally $25 per person for one hour).
GWS-MBCA members: please register below so I may inform RROC-Chesapeake Activities Director, Tony Wilner, of how many people to expect.
